Phil Nohl, actor/singer/songwriter, combines his improv acting, music writing and singing talents in a one man concert experience that he has performed at Town House Books in St. Charles, IL to 4 sold out audiences. He began writing songs when he was fourteen, and has written over three hundred songs to date. His songs have been performed at The Second City Conservatory and contributed to the soundtrack of an independent film, which he acted in and helped to edit.
Phil’s acting credits include over 25 plays from Shakespeare to Broadway musicals. In addition to piano lessons from the age of six, his formal training began at The University of Iowa, where he earned degrees in music and theater. He is a 2006 graduate of the Second City Conservatory where he currently works as an intern for music direction. Phil teaches piano, voice, and guitar lessons to over thirty students. He also sings with the St. Charles Singers, directed by Jeff Hunt, a professional choir that toured France this summer. He also plays piano and sings for his church’s praise band.
